Because of the weather, and the fact that I travel from Canada on a daily basis, I was not able to go to class on Tuesday. I have read through the Gender and Sexuality by myself, however. I do not understand why the section called Watching Dallas is in the gender and sexuality section of the book – is it just because most viewers of the television show are women? Also, I missed the assignment groups for the final project, so I will need to get that resolved this week. I know we need to pick a movie or add campaign, but so far I have not been able to come up with good examples. I am thinking about writing my paper on structuralism.

I think you're right-- this has been a long winter.

I didn't like the books example of watching Dallas-- I think it's outdated. In class we talked about current television shows and which ones are geared toward women-- which ones portray women well or badly and then what the contrast is in how they portray the men. nw
